As the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust transitioned to Blueprint for All and the Lawrence family established the new Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation, the organisation faced the challenge of reintroducing Stephen’s legacy to a new generation. I was selected as one of the Black British creatives to feature in the Foundation’s Black History Month 2020 launch film, taking on an on-screen role in a national campaign that championed hope, equity, and community resilience. This project marked a pivotal moment in reconnecting young people with Stephen’s story during a year defined by renewed conversations about justice and inclusion. In April 2021, I joined the Foundation’s creative strategy team to support the relaunch of Stephen Lawrence Day. Using youth-centred storytelling, cultural insight, and campaign development, I helped shape how the Foundation engaged Gen Z audiences while maintaining sensitivity around Stephen’s legacy. Through collaborative ideation, feedback sessions, and community-led creative testing, we developed a campaign that strengthened the Foundation’s reach across classrooms, communities, and career initiatives. The resulting work ensured Stephen’s story continues to inspire young people to imagine and build a fairer, more inclusive society.
